Committed to providing a stimulating and enriching environment that inspires a love of learning, we have developed a curriculum within our school that combines innovation with rigour and high expectations. By doing this, we are able to meet the learning needs of all our children.
Supported both by the 2014 National Curriculum and curriculum development experts from Dimensions (an organisation who specialise in supporting schools develop their own unique curriculum), the Curriculum Theme Map provides an outline of what is covered in each year group. Separated into lower and upper Key Stage 2, the themes are built around the core skills contained within the new National Curriculum. Enhancing our curriculum, we have a comprehensive programme of excursions, residential trips and visitors to school.
Further detail on the specific skills covered by the new National Curriculum can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/national-curriculum-in-england-primary-curriculum
We have recently introduced the Accelerated Reader™ (AR™) program into School. This guide is designed to answer your questions about AR. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or visit the Accelerated Reader website at www.renlearn.co.uk.
