At Broomgrove Junior School, our intent is to spark our children's curiosity in the world around them locally, nationally and globally. Geography is challenging, motivating, topical and fun and can have a major positive impact on physical, intellectual, social and emotional development. In order to be well-rounded citizens in the diverse society we live in, we believe that children need to be able to understand and respect other places, people and cultures and recognise how these may change over time.
Implementation: In our teaching of Geography, we inspire our children by creating a buzz during lessons. We mix hands-on experiences, child-led research and investigation, educational visits and opportunities for challenge and above all, we deliver fun and engaging lessons that children will remember and learn from.
