Broomgrove Schools aim to ensure all children enjoy a successful transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, as well as from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 3. They should have every opportunity to continue to be confident and secure within their new school, and to continue to achieve without disruption. Regardless of ability, all children should be supported through a structured programme that will prepare them for a successful transition. The support provided should take account of specific needs. The information contained here is intended to provide parents and carers with what they need to know about the transition process.
Summer Term 2022
If you are a prospective parent reading this, you will be aware that some of the activities in our policy have not taken place due to Covid restictions. However, we are working hard to make sure that transition happens in a happy and supported manner, and that parents and children feel reassured that children's time at Broomgrove Junior School will be something to look forward to. We will be in touch soon. In the meantime, do have a look at our year 3 page to give you a flavour of life in the junior school. The link is below. We look forward to welcoming you and your child soon.
