As Headteacher of Broomgrove Junior School it is a pleasure to welcome you to our website.
Broomgrove Junior School is a happy and exciting learning community that promotes achievement to the fullest extent. Through a supportive atmosphere, children feel confident to express their individuality and talents, knowing that their successes will be celebrated.
We believe that working in partnership with our children, their parents and carers, our governors and the wider community is critical to our continued success as a school. We reflect the diversity of our community by respecting, supporting and valuing our differences and our similarities, which we promote through our curriculum.
As part of the Colne Cluster we have access to the latest educational developments, knowledge and best practice, which helps us to continually adapt and improve our capacity as a school to deliver a rich learning experience for our children. We are also part of the North Essex Teacher Training Centre (NETT) that trains approximately 30 new primary teachers a year.
Our Curriculum is rich in experiences, with regular trips, visitors and other opportunities that sit alongside the delivery of key skills and the mastery and application of knowledge. All children benefit from enhanced PE and Music provision from Anglia Sports Management and Stave House Music respectively, which ensures they enjoy high quality provision.
Ever evolving, our learning environment, both indoors and out, stimulates and inspires a love of learning. To ensure all children have the opportunity to enjoy academic success we promote the concept of ‘learning without limits’. We provide small group tuition and booster classes for those children that need it, as well as hosting Learning Academies’ i-Achieve tuition after-school club. Before, after and during the school day, we also offer a large selection of other clubs, ranging from football and tag rugby, to cheerleading and choir, to chess and art.
With caring and dedicated staff, we are passionate that the school brings the best out of everyone. You are more than welcome to come and visit at any time to see the school in action.
Kindest regards,
Leesa Sharpe
